Urchin pots - Private workshop - Saturday 30th August 2025 - 10am to midday. Price per person.

Join Anaïck under the canopy and create your own urchin pots  to display in your own home or to offer as a special gift.

£60 per person.

The price of this workshop includes a £14 non refundable booking fee. You can reschedule this workshop once, for free, as long as you do so at least 48 hours before it is due to start. See t&cs and FAQs for further details.

All materials, tuitions and two kiln firings included.

What to expect:

First you will learn how to create a pinch pot and how to work it into a natural, organic form, observing real urchins photography to develop your pot into their pleasing shape.

While this is hardening, you will create a second, bigger pinch pot and start plotting your textured designs.

Let your creativity and imagination work their magic while enjoying the relaxing, mindful task of adding both raised and dipped textures to your creation. 

You can choose 2 colours from our extensive collection of underglazes. These will be applied by Anaick after the first kiln firing and covered with transparent glaze before the second kiln firing. 

Your urchins will need a couple of weeks to dry fully and be fired in the kiln and we will advertise on our website and social media when they are ready to collect.

If you prefer to, you will be able book a further workshop to come back and glaze your urchins and enjoy the complete ceramics experience.
