Autumn at the Happy You and Mee studio

After a lovely summer of alfresco ceramic workshops under the garden canopy, it feels right to gently retreat back into our warm cosy studio. We are still hoping for a couple more sessions in the garden enjoying the last warm days of September as the month draws to a close before completely moving in. What will be making?

Well, it's pumpkins time!

Anaick lead four free pumpkin workshops during the b-side Festival fringe event and there are already fifteen beautiful pumpkin sculptures drying slowly in the studio. The workshops were 30 minutes longer this year and the quality of everyone's work really shows how much more they learnt in just a little extra time. 

Did you miss out on the free pumpkin sculpting workshop?

There is a slim chance Anaick could fit one in before the end of September, it would be brilliant to make it a small group workshop at £45 per person if there were three of you together. Just email to see if you can find a good time for everyone.

It will have to be before the end of September or just a couple of days into October so they have time to dry properly before their first kiln firing. Many will come back when they are ready to glaze to give them their final seasonal colours. It is always so much fun to see the difference between the before and after pictures with glaze!
